In the Akaviri Invasion of 1E 2703, the Akaviri were eventually defeated by the combined army of East and
West Cyrodiil lead by Reman I in the Pale Pass of Skyrim. Reman offered amnesty to the surviving Akaviri
troops in return for their service in the Army of the Second Empire of Men. Eventually the Cyrodiils were
to traditionally keep a house guard of Akaviri and the Emperor's chief advisor, the Potentate was usually of
Akaviri descent too. The Akaviri played an important role in the administration of Cyrodiil during the
Second Empire and were responsible for the training of the Imperial army. The Potentate ruled Cyrodiil for
400 rules after Reman's dynasty ended and have left a visible mark on the Empire still today. The military's

- Another name for the High-Elves. Altmer is used to denote a single elf. Unfortunately there is relatively
little known about the reclusive High Elves, partly to due with the extreme scarcity of Elven writings. This
is at least partly due to the Alessian Order which destroyed many Altermi writings during its long reign.
Another well believed explanation originates from the human scholar Dylxexes who studied the Direnni Hegemony,
a High Elven merchant family that exploited the human kingdoms. It seems that the writings of the Altmeri,
as well as even their speech, contain hidden magic which can be dangerous to the untrained reader.

them pursuing a magical or thief related profession. Argonians are rarely seen outside of their
home province except for the intelligent variety known as the hist. Most Argonians practice
worship to a certain type of spore-tree that only grows in the interior of their native swamps.
- Little in known and less in understoof about the reptilian denizens of Black Marsh. Years of defending their borders have made
the Argonians experts in guerilla warfare, and their natural abilities make them equally at home in water and on land. They
