Special NPCs Greetings[edit]
There are a number of NPCs in the settlements of Arena with special sprites and greetings as well as descriptions for their professions. A few aren't present in-game and are instead just known due to their intended lines in the archives. These special greetings are as follows:
Prostitute[edit]
- First Encounter
- "The boys call me [NPC Name]. I'm a whore."
- "Ain't much need for names, is there? Well, you can call me [NPC Name], if you wanna."
- "I am [NPC Name]. My business is in making boys happy. Ain't that nice?"
- "I meet more [PC race] boys than girls, but business is business. I'm [NPC Name]."
- "Very nice to meetcha. I go by [NPC Name]. It's my... career name."
- "The name's [NPC Name], if you really want to know it. Most guys don't care."

- "No, I am not busy doing anything. Just standing around, like any other day, breathing fire. I am [NPC Name], at your service."

- "Just a traveling musician, [NPC Name] they call me. What can I do for you, [PC race]?"

Generic NPCs Greetings[edit]
All Generic NPCs (Those with the simple City Pedestrian Sprites) introduce themselves to the player with the same lines, with the name, occupation and that occupation's description being the factors subject to randomization. The generic greeting templates are otherwise few and exact:

Professions and Descriptions[edit]
As previously mentioned, the name, profession and that profession's description are subject to randomization. The name of an NPC is a mix of names from a list in the archives while the occupations and their descriptions are these:
