The Dragon's Teeth Mountains (or simply the Dragon's Teeth)[1] is an expansive mountain range that spans a large portion of western Tamriel, stretching from the frozen summits of High Rock all the way to the forests of Valenwood, passing through Cyrodiil, Skyrim, and Hammerfell. It was said that the spines of the Dragon's Teeth were visible from the top of the Crystal Tower prior to the latter's destruction[2] and Falinesti was south of it.[3] "By the Dragon's Teeth" is a common exclamation in Hammerfell.[1]

The Dragon's Teeth Mountains are found near the Nordic town of Falkreath. The mountains have been described as a wild and tricky country and an overall treacherous and inhospitable landscape, known for winding chasms and hidden valleys. It is known to carry deposits of mithril and gold, which were the main resources that the Kragen clan of Dwemer harvested through their extravagant mining colony of Arkngthamz-Phng (later known as Fang Lair). It is unknown why the Kragen Clan migrated into the Dragon's Teeth Mountains when they had a well-established empire from their research center of Arkngthamz in Skyrim, where they harvested Aetherium. They lived in the Arkngthamz-Phng colony for an unspecified amount of years until they were driven out by the dragon Thurvokun. He rested in the ruins of Fang Lair until his death,[4] protecting an immeasurable amount of gold, which prompted numerous dungeon delvers to traverse the mountains and seek out the treasure.[5] The area surrounding Fang Lair is completely rife with the beautiful, albeit deadly wildflower, Dragon's Tongue Plant.[6]:127
