How can the chronology be correct if 2E 576 is before 2E 572?[edit]
I can not see how placing events of 2E 576 earlier in the text than events of 2E 572 can make the chronology more correct than the opposite? —MortenOSlash (talk) 21:08, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- The events that include the 572 text do not take place in 572. The date is in reference to previous events, and what the survivors of those events did at a later date. Trying to place these events is not easy. They took place before 812 when the city seceded. The phrase (in the source) "taking the Throne from Attrebus' successors" is irrelevant due to the time of the Invasion being long after any possible biological heirs being deposed by the longhouse emperors. The information about Tiber is also irrelevant as he wasn't born before 812. What does help is the part that says they seized the throne. The throne's only holder between 572 and 576 is Leovic, and then it immediately passed to Varen, leaving the seizure of the throne to take place after that. Therefore, while not knowing the exact date, we can still place it after other events and before others. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 22:34, 9 April 2019 (UTC)

- I agree. Excellent deduction without any speculation, as always. I am afraid I ended up focusing too much on the initiating event than the actual possible opening in the timeline.—MortenOSlash (talk) 21:17, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
