Between Skingrad and Chorrol |
Weatherleah is a farm between Skingrad and Chorrol (quest-related).
The farm was once inhabited by the Jemane family, but was overrun by ogres years ago. Before starting the quest Legacy Lost, it consists of an abandoned farmhouse and a fenced area with no crops.
The interior of the farmhouse has been ransacked and is in very poor condition. On the first floor, a small room to the right of the entrance, possibly a study or dining room at one time, has overturned furniture and clutter scattered about. A charred corpse lies in the lit pass-through fireplace, and bones are strewn throughout the area. The second floor has two bedrooms. The first features broken furniture and four crates containing clutter. The second has a single bed, a set of drawers containing clutter, a cupboard containing food and drink, and a bottle of Tamika's West Weald Wine on a small set of shelves in the corner. A skeleton lies at the foot of the stairs up to the attic area. The attic holds only human remains; numerous bones, skulls, and a skeleton indicate acts of depravity, as expected considering the cannibalistic tendencies of the ogres who had overrun the site.
Once the Jemane brothers are reinstated in their home, and the quest Sins of the Father is in progress, the brothers work to restore the farm. Inside the farmhouse, furniture is righted and repaired, clutter is stowed away, and housekeeping begins, although no new items of interest are added to the house. Outside, the fences are mended, and the brothers try their hand at farming, planting a garden including 12 lettuce plants, 12 potato plants, and 4 pumpkin vines.
Weatherleah People[edit]

*Only present at the farm after the quest Legacy Lost.
Related Quests[edit]
- Legacy Lost: Help long-lost twins recover their childhood home.
- Sins of the Father: A thief wants you to recover an item stolen by the Jemane brothers' father.
Notes[edit]
- Weatherleah can be used as a potential player house, as it contains a free bed and its containers are non-respawning.
- Weatherleah also appears in ESO as the Weatherleah Estate.
Bugs[edit]
- Weatherleah is restored to its former glory when you receive the stage 20 quest update during Sins of the Father, i.e., when you approach Redguard Valley Cave. By rushing into the cave, it is possible to avoid the quest update, which will trigger a bug and leave Weatherleah ruined for the rest of the game.
- The Unofficial Oblivion Patch, version 3.3.0, fixes this bug.
