Carnival Conundrum
Sarandel's Carnival came from the Summerset Isle to spread High Elf culture. Unfortunately, they've suffered numerous setbacks in performing for the Wood Elves of Grahtwood.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Speak to Sarandel.
  2. Fetch Vindare's magical supplies.
  3. Acquire mudcrab eyes for Cornar.
  4. Find a book of Bosmeri legends for Noryon.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Sarandel brought her carnival to Grahtwood hoping to wow the Wood Elves and make some easy money. Instead, everything's going wrong - the trained shalk are sick, the magician's trunk never arrived, and the storyteller doesn't have any Bosmer stories to tell.

The Magician

The Magician: Vindare the Magnificent would like you to retrieve her magical supplies from her trunk. Due to the pirate invasion of Haven, the trunk was never delivered and is still sitting on the docks.

The Shalk-Trainer

The Shalk-Trainer: Cornar wants to perk up his homesick shalk with a paste made from mudcrab eyes. He doesn't want to leave the shalk, though, so it's up to you. The mudcrabs can be found along the beach in the cove to the east.

The Storyteller

The Storyteller: Noryon had planned on traveling around Grahtwood to collect Bosmer stories, but with all the trouble about he's too afraid to leave the carnival grounds. All he knows are Altmer tales, and he's afraid those will offend the Wood Elves. He asks you to get a book of Bosmer myths and legends from the Mages Guild in Elden Root.

Notes[edit]

  • Any mudcrabs in Grahtwood can drop eyes for this quest, not exclusive to the areas shown on the map.
  • The trunk won't exist at the docks before starting the quest.
  • Vindare's trunk can be difficult to spot among the other containers on the dock. It is located on top of a crate even with the front of the docked ship, on the side of the dock closest to the ship.
  • Sulimir won't exist at the carnival before starting the quest or reaching the related objective.

Notes
* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
