Skills and Abilities[edit]
- Created from a species of crustacean-like bottom-feeders, Yaghra Larva have (or had) a symbiotic relationship with other sea life. They are workers, peons, and servants, low in the Yaghra social hierarchy. There are Minion, Suicide, and Hoarder varieties, all with main abilities, and each with a unique ability or two. — Prima guide description[1]:219
- Flog
- Physical attack. The larva stops, rears up, and bashes the target with its forelegs. Can be blocked or avoided.
- Body Bash
- Physical attack. The larva stops, pushes up, and pierces or bashes the target with its bulbous abdomen. Can be blocked or avoided.
- Spiked Missile
- This attack is usually used against those who have been marked with Luminescent Mark by a yaghra spewer. The larva hunkers down, then launches itself at the marked target, sticking to them for a brief time and serving as crowd control. Can be avoided or blocked. If a Larva attaches itself to you, you can roll dodge to dislodge it.
- Momentous Discharge
- The larva sprays goo at you with explosive speed while simultaneously propelling itself backwards. This should be avoided.
- Explosive Toxins
- The larva stops attacking at range to charge you, exploding in a burst of poison. The longer a larva is in combat, the more likely it is to use this ability. Larva that emerge from Monstrosities are also more likely to do this. Larva Poppers (the "suicide" variant) immediately use this attack.
Variants[edit]
- Yaghra Larva Hoarder, a rare spawn variant from Monstrosities that also have a small chance to spawn from small geysers and tidal pools.
- Yaghra Larva Popper, a variant that sacrifices itself to explode on you.
Notes[edit]
- A Larval Yaghra pet can be purchased from the Crown Store.
