Glitch?[edit]

Wilhelm is interested in me, and I'm playing a male khajiit character. Is this a glitch? — Unsigned comment by Zenigma (talkcontribs)

No, you can marry anyone as a Khajiit; you just can't marry a Khajiit. elliot (talk) 18:10, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
I think you can marry most humanoid races and any gender in Skyrim (except maybe the monster races like the Falmer).
I thought Wilhelm was cute and kind of sweet so I married him. I liked him better than many of the other followers, so I did some console magic and added him to potential follower class. I also bumped his stats up to be more similar to mine and made sure he was set as essential. Now my husband and I go adventuring together. He's pretty cool and works fine as a follower. He says "By Ysmir that's impressive" at some sort of random moments when you come into a big cavern or something. But he still seems in love when he says, "Here love, here's your share" when he gives me money the Inn made.69.181.46.180 07:56, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Subtitle Typo[edit]

I think I found a typo in his subtitles: when you enter a conversation with him, they read "We don't get many visitors through here, unless their heading up to High Hrothgar". — Unsigned comment by 109.151.243.176 (talk) at 20:23 on 2 February 2012 UTC

Sapphire Dragon Claw[edit]

How did he come into possession of the Sapphire Dragon Claw?

He could have entered the barrow before Windelius, but then he would know it's not hunted, at least not the part before the door you need the claw to open. It also could be a heirloom like the Lucan Valerius' one. Does the game states it at any point? Digus (talk) 18:19, 20 May 2015 (GMT)

He warned Wyndelius not to enter the ruin, and from my reading they believed it to be haunted before he came along. The ruin was still full of draugr which Nords believe to be abominations, so Wilhelm oversimplifies things by stating that it was all Wyndelius' doing. Wilhelm certainly had the claw before Wyndelius came along, so it was likely some sort of heirloom or local artifact used to draw people to the inn, though there is nothing in the game to indicate how he came to posses it. Essential[edit]

Wilhelm seems to lose essential status upon completion of one of his quests. I'm unsure which one triggers the change, but I suspect it is either the Wyndelius quest or the delivery quest. Csjimmy (talk) 05:20, 7 March 2017 (UTC)
