Lisbet is a Nord and the owner of the Arnleif and Sons Trading Company, a general goods store in Markarth. After her husband's death, she was handed management of the store. She also informs you that the store has fallen on hard times due to recent Forsworn attacks. One of their shipments is missing as a result of those attacks, including a Dibella Statue that is worth a substantial amount. Lisbet's Dibella Statue can be retrieved from a chest in an assigned Forsworn camp and returned to her for a reward.
She wears a set of merchant clothes, including a hat and a pair of boots. She wields an iron dagger and carries the key to her general goods store, as well as common loot and gold.

Dialogue[edit]
On your first visit to the store you overhear her and Imedhnain passing comment on the recent commotion in Markarth marketplace. Imedhnain asks her:
- Imedhnain: "Did you hear all that noise outside?"
- Lisbet: "It's just the market rabble. We should get back to work. You there. If you're here to trade, step up to the counter."
Her normal greetings:
- "Arnleif and Sons Trading Company buys and sells anything you wandering types need."
- "No, I'm not Arnleif. Yes, I know it's called Arnleif and Sons."
- "The selection seems small, but we can provide whatever you need. Just ask."
- "I love hearing Ogmund sing at the inn. He's a true skald."
When spoken to:
- So who's Arnleif?
- "I inherited the store from my husband. His father was Arnleif. My husband, Gunnar, died about five years ago. Forsworn attack. I miss that stubborn oaf."
- There was an attack in the marketplace.
- "No. As if trade wasn't poor enough. Now there's violence in the streets. It was the Forsworn, wasn't it? I lose dozens of shipments every season to those barbarians. Now they're in the city? Gods help us."
Her goodbyes:
- "Come back whenever you need something."
- "If you need anything else, just ask."
Conversations[edit]
Lisbet may also be overheard having the following conversations with Imedhnain:
- Lisbet: "Imedhnain, I was just comparing the ledgers from last season."
- Imedhnain: "Not too bad, I hope?"
- Lisbet: "Worse. The loss of shipments from Forsworn attacks are really hitting us hard."
- Lisbet: "Where's Cosnach, is that lazy idiot out drinking at the Silver-Blood Inn again? On my coin?"
- Imedhnain: "He's just waiting for the shipments, Lisbet. He'll be back as soon as they come in."
- Lisbet: "There are no shipments scheduled today. Stop covering for him!"
- Imedhnain: "He's my cousin. Just give him another chance. Please."
- Lisbet: "Fine, I won't fire him, but I'm doing this for your sake. Not his."
Quest-Related Events[edit]
Lisbet's Missing Shipment[edit]
- This store has seen better days, hasn't it?
- "Oh, by the Divines is it that obvious? I swear, if my Gunnar was alive to see me now. This store would finally be on its feet if I hadn't lost my last shipment to Forsworn attacks. A specially-made Dibella statuette. You aren't for hire, are you? A sellsword? I'll pay you if you can recover that statuette from the Forsworn."
-
- I'll do it.
- "Thank you. I'll have a sum of gold waiting for you when you return."
-
- I'm not for hire right now.
- "Sorry to hear that."
Once you return:
- I found the statue in a Forsworn camp.
- "Ah, there it is! This little gold delight is going to keep us afloat for a while. Thank you. Here's something for your hard work."
The Taste of Death[edit]
Lisbet is revealed to be a cannibal in the quest The Taste of Death, along with other individuals in Markarth. If you tell her that you know her at the dinner:
- Wait. I know you.
- "One of my customers? Did you know I inherited the store from my late husband? Shame what happened to him. He had such good taste."
If you have completed her quest before talking to her in Reachcliff Cave, she will instead say:
- "That's right. You're the sellsword. Thank you again. It's so nice to have help with my husband gone. Shame what happened to him."
Throughout the feast, Lisbet may engage in conversation with some of the other cannibals present:
- Lisbet: "This is lovely, as always, Eola."
- Eola: "Thank you, Lisbet. It's been such a joy to dine with you all these years."
- Hogni: "The toes are my favorite part. I hope I get to take a few home with me."
- Lisbet: "I always preferred the liver myself. My brother had such a juicy liver."
- Lisbet: "It's so good to have everyone around the table again."
- Banning: "Eola is a fine host. She really keeps the faithful together."
- Lisbet: "I'm just glad we had this, now. I was almost getting ready to eat my servant and blame it on the Forsworn."
Attempting to ask her about her cannibalistic nature outside of the shrine will cause her to become worried and say:
- You were at Namira's feast, weren't you?
- "Shh. You mustn't speak about such things away from the shrine. Only you and your dinner guests can know."
No One Escapes Cidhna Mine[edit]
If you chose to help Madanach and the Forsworn escape, she will have the following to say upon speaking to her after the massacre:
- "Can't believe Madanach is on the loose again. Hope the rumors I'm hearing about your part in that are wrong."
Unused Dialogue[edit]
Lisbet has unused dialogue tied to multiple quests she was once meant to give you or play a part in. This dialogue can only be found in the game's DialogueViews files, and not the Creation Kit.
FreeformMarkarthB[edit]
In this quest, Cosnach would admit to you that he steals items from Lisbet's shipments. If you were on friendly terms, you could purchase some of these discounted goods from Cosnach. However, you could also tell Lisbet about his scheme:
- Did you know Cosnach is stealing from your shipments?
- "Why that little snake. That's it. He's never setting foot in this store again. Thanks for telling me. Here, for your trouble."
FreeformMarkarthC[edit]
In this quest, Thalmor Justiciar Ondolemar would've sent you to find any Thalmor activity around town. You could discover a shrine to Talos in Ogmund's House which he himself would worship, alongside Lisbet and other unknown worshipper. When confronted at the shrine she would say:
- "Get out of here. This is a private meeting."
- Why? What's going on here?
- "You say anything about what you saw here, you'll regret it."
Apparently she was meant to only say the following line afterwards:
- "I'm afraid you weren't invited. We have to ask you to go."
FreeformMarkarthF[edit]
- Have any more work for me?
- "Business has turned around, thanks to you, and it's time I closed out some old... agreements. I want you to take this letter to Betrid Silver-Blood. Don't expect a tip from her, it's not good news. I'll pay you when you get back, don't worry. I take care of my own."
Upon returning:
- I delivered the letter to Betrid.
- "Never thought I'd be grateful for that vain harpy. Thank you. Here, some gold for the help. You're always welcome in Arnleif and Sons."
Notes[edit]
- Lisbet is listed in the game files as being in a secret relationship with Thonar Silver-Blood.
- Lisbet was also meant to have scenes with her porter, Cosnach, but seeing as the latter never sets foot in the store, they can never play:
-
- Cosnach: "No shipments have come in."
- Lisbet: "What do I pay you for, to stand around all day? You're supposed to be bringing goods to the store."
- Cosnach: "There are no goods to bring to the store. That's what I'm saying."
- Lisbet: "Lazy oaf."
- Cosnach: "No shipments have come in."
-
- Lisbet: "Where are my goods? Did the shipment come in?"
- Cosnach: "Only a few things came today. Cedran said he'd drop it off later."
- Lisbet: "Cedran said he'd... what am I paying you for? Next time, you bring the shipment in yourself."
- Lisbet: "Where are my goods? Did the shipment come in?"
